The COVID-19 situation in India is dire. Hundreds of thousands of new cases are being documented every day—and many speculate that this number is being vastly underreported. This crisis has shaken the country to its core and has exposed the collapse of India’s medical infrastructure with very little being done by the local government to provide aid. Patients are dying as doctors are struggling to save them from the lack of supplies like oxygen. Every family in India is feeling the effects of this pandemic, as they wake up to news of loved ones lost each day.

UGM in partnership with Project SKAR is helping raise funds to assist with the severe shortage of oxygen cylinders in New Delhi, India. Project SKAR has partnered with Hi-Tech Industries Ltd Mohali (a leading oxygen supplier in the region) who has volunteered to refill oxygen cylinders for free. Additionally, the Sikh temple Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh will act as a distribution center to provide these oxygen cylinders to residents free of cost via their team of volunteers.
